Packaging Sleeving Application

A packaging sleeve, commonly known as a belly band in the food industry, is a piece of cardboard, plastic or renewable alternative that wraps around the product. These sleeves usually contain key information such as best before / use-by dates, ingredients, allergens and nutritional information.

Often food manufacturers carry out their own sleeving processes, however, there are many advantages to choosing a third-party supplier to apply packaging sleeves ready for despatch.

Many food manufacturers opt to keep their product at frozen temperatures, in doing so shelf life is paused, and a printed date, which can be applied to belly bands, isn’t necessary until the product is despatched to retailers.

Once the stock is ready for release from our temperature-controlled facility, our team can apply the product sleeves as well as carrying out any other additional services such as date coding and microwave up-tempering.

As a result, customers utilising this service have significantly more flexible supply chains, and therefore produce less waste and reduce overall costs.
