Microwave Up-Tempering
With the largest microwave up-tempering suite in Europe, we have consistently provided an exceptional tempering solution to major food manufacturers across the UK.

Consistent Output
Our process ensures uniform temperature distribution, with the core matching the outer surface.

Largest in Europe
Operating Europe’s largest microwave up-tempering facility since 2002.

Full Traceability
Every step of our up-tempering process is carefully tracked, ensuring full traceability and regulatory compliance.
Microwave Up-Tempering Solutions
We can batch defrost a vast variety of food items from bakery products to party food to proteins.
Microwave tempering offers numerous advantages over traditional thawing techniques. With its rapid process and quality results, microwave tempering is an excellent modern alternative for food thawing needs.

Consistency
Microwave tempering provides consistent, uniform heating for a more controlled thaw. This leads to better final product quality than the uneven thawing of traditional approaches.

Speed
The process is remarkably faster, thawing foods in mere minutes rather than the hours required by air or water methods.

How Microwave Up-Tempering Works
Industrial microwaves use a similar technology as household microwaves to generate heat through intermolecular friction.
Products are conveyed through a tunnel and exposed to microwaves, rapidly and evenly heating the entire product, not just the surface. This allows precise temperature control, raising product temperatures from -18°C to -3°C in under 60 seconds.
The rapid and consistent heating works for a wide range of products including proteins, dairy, bakery, vegetables, and more. For manufacturing, industrial microwaves can achieve precise temperature outputs for production equipment that requires specific ingredient densities.
