We Saved 9,806kg of Food from Going to Waste!

We are incredibly proud to announce we have helped to save 9,806kg of food from going to waste in 2022!

Our Magnavale Easton facility has been partnered with Second Helpings for many years. During this time, we have re-directed a significant amount of food to the Second Helpings charity, an organisation that distributes food to families in the local community.

With the focus to “feed bellies, not bins”, Second Helpings is tackling food waste head-on, working with local suppliers and supermarkets to redistribute surplus food nearing its best-before date to the community.

Working alongside the Stamford Methodist Church, the charity offers its local community a Community Fridge that is open Monday-Saturday 8 am- 8 pm as well as a café, open on Saturdays, offering a three-course meal. Both run the Community Fridge and café run on a ‘Pay-As-You-Feel’ basis, where visitors can donate.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Second Helpings particularly, and similar organisations that tackle food waste whilst supporting their local community. We endeavour to continue to support this cause and we are amazed by the impact you have had so far.
