Magnavale Chesterfield Construction Progressing

Aiming to create sustainable cold storage solutions that will reduce our carbon footprint and drive operational efficiencies, we are transforming and developing numerous sites across our network. Through the integration of new technologies and improved and expanded infrastructure we aim to develop a temperature-controlled storage network that is compatible with a net zero future.

Since breaking ground earlier this year, we are pleased to share we have made significant progress with the construction on the new extension at our Chesterfield cold storage facility. The significant expansion, which will add 25,000 pallet positions, will allow our current customers to increase their volumes as well as welcoming new customers who wish to utilise the frozen storage facility.

We have now excavated the site and have poured the concrete foundations for the facility. As we venture further into July, our team will concentrate on the steelwork to the cold store. The much-needed expansion to Magnavale Chesterfield is on track to reach completion by late 2024.

Magnavale Chesterfield, strategically located off the M1, offers a comprehensive portfolio of value-added services, including blast freezing and contract packing, making the facility desirable for food manufacturers in the region.
